I'm running to be an AUU Board Director with Unite!
Students are isolated, poorer and more vulnerable than ever. We need transparency. We need an AUU that isn’t scared to pursue a genuine pro-student agenda. Representation exists because historically Universities have not protected student welfare. The COVID-19 response and recent ICAC investigation shows now is no different.
As an SRC General Councillor this year, I lobbied for a fee reduction along with standing against historic attacks on our education. Additionally, this year our team helped bring you:
- Exam Welfare Packs
- Mandatory Sexual Assault and Disclosure training for all representatives
- Your right to vote online
- Support for the Women’s Collective demands to stop sexual assault and harassment on campus.
If elected, I'll push for the AUU to be more transparent (no more hiding behind in-camera meetings) and to make the decision making process more visible for students.
Our United team care about the education we receive, and the culture we experience too.
