About the position
This role amplifies the student experience at the University of Adelaide delivering a packed calendar of free events and transformative student programs. With the stunning University of Adelaide as your event site, this role presents a rare opportunity to combine creative flair with best-practice event management. Make your mark by producing a range of food, music, wellbeing, and social events, including delivery of the largest tertiary engagement event in South Australia – O’Week!
Your responsibilities will be varied and diverse and you will be constantly multi-tasking between projects to contribute to the team. You will take initiative in developing and planning events, undertaking logistical planning, stakeholder management, budgeting, risk management and the delivery of events from start to finish.
In addition to the delivery of scheduled YouX events, this role will provide an event consultancy service to student club communities and coordinate student programs that provide a vibrant, supportive, and balanced experience at the University of Adelaide.
About you
We are seeking an individual with experience working in events and programs. Strong organisational skills, a positive attitude and problem-solving abilities are essential.
With their exceptional communications skills, the successful candidate will naturally foster relationships with key stakeholders, peers, and staff at all levels. The successful candidate will be practical, proactive, and motivated with an ability to work independently on projects as well as work collaboratively with the events team for larger projects.
If you have a tertiary qualification in Events Management and/or demonstrated experience working in events and programs, this position is for you!

The YouX Volunteer Program offers students an opportunity to immerse themselves in campus life to give back to the student community, gain a range of valuable experiences and connect with other enthusiastic volunteers.
