At YouX Student Employment, we’re here to equip you with the skills to find and apply for casual or part-time paid work opportunities.
Our service is completely free and available to all students studying at the University of Adelaide.
We also offer you heavily subsidesed Short Courses to help prepare for casual work.
We offer personalised support with:
- Preparing a resume and cover letter
- Interview tips and advice
- Advice on where to look for opportunities
- Direction on where to find information on your employee rights and wages
- Referrals to further resources

Appointments are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for resume and cover letter assistance, and/or general employment advice.

International Students looking for casual work
If you are an international student looking for casual/part-time work, there are a number of things you need to know before working, such as how many hours, Tax File number and Superannuation just to mention a few. Pay and Conditions
All people working in Australia (including international students) have basic rights and protections in the workplace, including minimum pay and conditions. For information relating to your pay and conditions can be found at https://www.fairwork.gov.au/
