Hi I'm Matt (They/Them), and I'm running for AUU Board.

In order to thrive at University, students need not only a quality education, but an inclusive environment and a community that supports and inspires them. The Adelaide University Union provides so many vital services for all students to enjoy, and enriches university life.  Without these services, students lack the experience of a good university culture, and suffer academically. These services must be maintained, improved and expanded upon to provide students the best possible University experience. 

In a time when our University is dealing with the aftermath of the actions of a former VC, it’s high time we had an AUU that affiliated the Women’s Collective, and Pro-Choice club, as well as provide improved services to sexual harassment and assault survivors. It’s time for our AUU to stop talking and start listening.

All students should be able to confidently access support services including employment services, accommodation, or assistance to feel safe and secure in tutorials and lecture theatres. If elected, I will work to improve upon these student services.
