Hi - I'm Susie Greenwood. Having completed my undergraduate studies here at Adelaide Uni I’m now undertaking research in Linguistics.  As an active member of the HDR community, I know the importance of having a strong peer network to navigate what can be unfamiliar territory.  Many of us face additional challenges in juggling work and family commitments alongside our studies, so I'll continue advocating to ensure this is recognised and that we have the support we need to help us through whatever our circumstances.  During my time here I’ve worked at Ask Adelaide, volunteered as a PASS leader, tutored in Linguistics and run Club Committees, so have plenty of experience in how things work at Adelaide Uni.  As both Mature Student and HDR SRC Rep in 2020, I’ve taken a proactive and constructive approach, serving on university committees and working groups to effect positive change during the COVID-19 challenges. I’ve founded the SRC HDR Student Committee to bring Faculty, Club & SRC student reps together to ensure more effective representation, communication and accountability. In 2021 I’ll continue to focus on campus issues relevant to domestic and international research students, taking a pragmatic (rather than political) stance to support all HDRs.
