Hi, I’m Caitlin Battye (She/Her) and I would like to represent you as Disability Officer on the SRC.

I’m incredibly passionate when it comes to ensuring those of us who are differently-abled are able to thrive at university. It’s vital that university reflects the diverse needs of students and works to accommodate those needs. However, there's currently a dearth of accessibility for those on campus needing extra or different assistance and services, and even knowledge regarding what services are actually available.

If I’m elected to this position, I aim to increase awareness of the services the university already offers. I also aim to secure funding and support to widen the scope of these services to reflect the swiftly changing state of campus life, and to make the process and criteria for using them simpler and more accessible for all. 

As your Disability Officer, I will be a strong, active, and above all, supportive and empathetic voice for the equity of all students. Everyone at university deserves the chance to thrive and to succeed in their studies, and I would be honoured to support this process.
