Hey, my name is Ben Foster. I'm an activist on campus, and I'm totally horrified by the clusterf**k that is 2020. Students should play a role in the struggle for social-justice, in broader-society as well as on campus. After all, LGBT oppression doesn't stop outside campus. The campaign for marriage-equality encapsulates the transformative effects of people struggling for their rights! We need an education system based on what students and teachers need and want! I'm running as part of the Left Action team.

Left Action is a team of grassroots activists. We have no candidates from the major parties. Instead, we're climate activists, we're Black Lives Matter activists, we're education activists... We're fighters against all forms of injustice. If you went to a protest this year, there's a good chance one of our candidates organised it.

We want to bring these campaigns into the SRC.

Too often this year, the majority on the SRC have blocked activist campaigns and backed up attacks from the government and university administration. If we're going to defeat fee hikes and rebuild social movements, we need to get grassroots activists on to the student council.
