Hello, my name is Edward Archer and I’m running to be your General Secretary with Rebuild.

I’m running because I want to see a student union that puts students and clubs at the forefront to ensure an active campus culture and effective student support. In 2025, to address this I want to push for:

• An SRC committee dedicated to supporting smaller clubs with organising and advertising their events
• Policy to ensure the smooth transition for students and clubs to a merged university

The Rebuild team and I are REAL advocates for students and the issues that affect them, which is why in 2025 we want to push these causes:

• A dedicated helpline for students during SWOTVAC and exams as well as capping exam weighting at 50% 
• Embedding the student voice into decision making through constant student consultation
• Free menstrual products in bathrooms for students in need.
• Additional practical environmental action on campus and pushing for a greener university
• Making sure the transition to a new university is smooth for students during the merger.

We’re progressive and ready to prove ourselves. Vote Rebuild to being back a thriving campus culture and bring practical change for students.
