Hello, my name is Ellie Venning and I’m running to be your SRC General Councillor with Rebuild!

I’m running because you deserve an SRC that works productively and effectively to best advocate on your behalf. The SRC should be an accessible and open collective, formed of student leaders that are in touch with the average student – not just politically engaged amongst themselves.

I’m a second year student studying a Bachelor of Environmental Policy and Management, because in order to be able to make a positive difference to society, one has to understand the situation and how to best resolve issues responsibly.

The Rebuild team and I are REAL advocates for students and the issues that affect them, which is why we are advocating for caps on exam weighting, embedding student voices in university committees, free menstrual products, and pursuing practical environment action on campus.
