Immerse yourself in Indigenous culture at our Native Food Market! From unique native food to silk painting, experience culture through food and art! We can’t wait to light up the Barr Smith Lawns with one of our favourite events of the year!
What to expect?
We’re kicking things off with a Welcome to Country and didgeridoo performance by Robert Taylor.
Then get ready to try a huge lineup of native flavours*:
- Quandong & Peach Jam with Native Artisan Crackers
- Bush Tomato Relish with Native Artisan Crackers
- Davidson Plum Chocolate Squares
- Wild Rosella Cordial
- Bubbly Finger Lime Cordial
- Saltbush Pepperleaf Hommus
- Mulberry and Lemon Myrtle Gelato
- Member Perk: Native Infused Biscuits
*Until sold out.
Once you’ve delighted your tastebuds, it’s time to get hands-on. We’ll be joined by Animals Anonymous who’ll be bringing a bunch of cute (and not so cute) friendly animals for you to meet. We’ll also have a Weaving Workshop for you to unleash your creative spark, and Collaborative Silk Painting hosted by University of Adelaide student Temaana Yundu Sanderson-Bromley.
Along with this, you can expect good music, great vibes and even better company (bring your bestie!).
The best part? FREE entry for ALL students!
See ya there.
