First Aid and CPR Course

This First Aid and CPR Course includes:

Course Duration: A combination of online learning and in person assessment. Students will complete a 3-4hrs online training module, followed by a 2hr face to face assessment

Price normanlly $135 but now just for UoA Students:

  • UoA Student who are YouX Members - $30 (you must be a registered member of YouX to receive this discount)

  • Non YouX Members - $50

PAYMENT Process - IMPORTANT PLEASE READ!

Purchase the First Aid & CPR training course by following the 3 steps below. 

  1. FIRST you must log on to the YouX website using your University of Adelaide Student log in details. (top right of the webpage)
  2. CHOOSE the ticket you wish to purchase in the blue section above. YOU MUST be a YouX Member to purchase the YouX Members price. Once selected go to the basket (top right corner) to purchase your ticket. 

  3. Purchase your ticket using your PayPal account or via any Debt/Credit card. To pay press the yellow PayPal checkout button  You will then have the choice or paying via your PayPal account OR PAY WITH CARD, which is any Debit or Credit card.

Once YouX Student Employment has received your payment, you will be sent an email from the course provider Vital Trainng containng the link to the online module that you will need to complete prior to the training.

This First Aid and CPR Course includes:

Course Duration: A combination of online learning and in person assessment. Students will complete a 3-4hrs online training module, followed by a 2hr face to face assessment.

HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid

HLTAID010 – Provide basic emergency life support

HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

This course will provide you with an understanding of how to apply an immediate emergency response to a suddenly sick or injured person.  The course covers basic life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders or bystanders until the arrival of medical or other assistance. This course is relevant in a range of situations, including in the home, workplace or within the community,  

This course is delivered in accordance with State/Territory First Aid Codes of Practice, Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines and workplace procedures, allowing your workplace to meet its legal requirements in relation to the provision of first aid in the workplace.

Our professional trainers will guide you through the knowledge and skills to give you the confidence to respond to or manage an emergency situation.  

Pre Course Online Workbook

An online First Aid workbook needs to be completed prior to course commencement. The online workbook link and log in details are emailed to participants once enrolment is received. 

Assessment

This course employs a variety of assessment methods in order to determine competency. These include verbal questioning, multiple choice questions, practical scenarios and demonstration
