Meals on Wheels SA provides more than just a meal. The WISE Program, supports older people to remain living independently in their homes and enhancing opportunities for social connections. Funded to promote reablement and wellness approaches, the WISE team is focussed on activities that enable participants to remain, or regain their desire to be Well, Independent & Socially Engaged.

The WISE Volunteer will facilitate the delivery of a range of social connection supports, with individuals and groups either in the home or community settings. All activities encourage older people to remain active, independent, and living in the community, while reducing isolation and loneliness.

This role reports to Dana Lavenant.

Commitment and Location

This opportunity is ongoing and includes shifts at various days and times. The majority of the volunteering roles take place in the Adelaide Metropolitan area - South, North East & West

Special requirements

Volunteers are required to have a First Aid Certificate
