Immerse yourself in Indigenous culture at our Native Food Market! From unique native food to weaving workshops, experience culture through food and art! We can’t wait to take over the Barr Smith Lawns with one of our favourite events of the year!
What to expect?
We’ll be starting the event with a Welcome to Country and didgeridoo performance by Robert Taylor.
Then get ready to try a huge lineup of native flavours*:
- Native flavoured jams
- Kangaroo pepperoni
- Davidson plum chocolate
- Wild Rosella cordial
- Native flavoured sparkling drinks
- Mulberry sorbet
- Lemon myrtle and coconut lamingtons
Member Perk: Choc Chip & Wattle Seed biscuits.
*Until sold out.
Once you’ve delighted your tastebuds, it’s time to get hands on. We’ll be joined by Animals Anonymous who’ll be bringing a bunch of cute (and not so cute) friendly animals for you to meet. We’ll also have Ngarrindjeri language and a weaving workshop for you to unleash your creative spark, as well flower crown making!
Along with this you can expect good music, great vibes and even better company (bring your bestie!).
The best part? FREE entry for ALL students!
See ya there.
