Herzlich Willkommen im AUGC! The Adelaide University German Club offers lots of events for anyone wanting to engage with German language and culture on campus, and also provides opportunities to become more connected with the wider German-speaking community in Adelaide.
Join our friendly hosts for Kaffeeklatsch, our speaking hour, every Tuesday during semester from 1pm-3pm at Merantau Cafe, Ingkarni Wardli to practice your speaking and listening skills. Members receive a $2 coffee or tea, and we use a variety of speaking prompts, reading materials & games to keep the conversation flowing.
Otherwise, join us at the UniBar for Stammtisch from 5pm fortnightly Wednesdays and enjoy a free beer with us! Stick around to test your knowledge with the pub quiz.
Enjoy a variety of other events through the year, including a day trip to the German town of Hahndorf, a sophisticated wine-tasting evening, or get your Dirndl and Lederhosen ready for our annual Oktoberfest!
