About Us

Campus: North Terrace

The Adelaide University Law Students' Society (AULSS) is an extremely active club and is committed to making your years at Adelaide Law School the best of your life. AULSS membership is automatic and free if you are enrolled in a Bachelor of Laws here. The Society consists of Activities, Education, Careers, Competitions, Social Justice & Equity and Communications portfolios, which each run events and initiatives for all Society members.

The Activities portfolio are our experts at creating fun, social events where you can take a break, hang out with friends and meet new people. The Education portfolio runs a mentorship program for first year law students, and skills development sessions that complement your studies and help you excel in your degree. The Careers portfolio hosts industry evenings to expand your professional network, learn more about the legal profession and assist with your transition into the workforce. The Competitions portfolio runs a series of competitions including Moots, Witness Examinations, Client Interviewing and Negotiations to help you develop your practical legal skills. The Social Justice & Equity portfolio hosts charitable fundraisers and awareness-raising events, and our Communications portfolio keeps you updated and entertained through our social media channels and law school magazine ‘The Hilarian’.

Events: Join us in semester one for our Opening Party, Pro Vino wine tour and our biggest event of the year, Law Ball. We also encourage first year students to sign up to our mentorship program and Meet Your Mentor event. In semester two we invite you to attend Law Dinner, our annual Quiz Night and to wrap it all up, our Closing Party. Follow us on socials for updates.
