The Union is committed to ensuring the health and safety of its employees, the community and the environment by controlling the purchase, storage, use and disposal of hazardous substances.
No employee will use a hazardous substance before receiving instructions on the risks associated with its use and the precautions necessary to minimise them. The use of hazardous substances will be subject to continuous review and any new substance brought into the workplace must be accompanied with a Material Safety Data Sheet that can be added to the register of hazardous substances
