The Union is concerned about the prevention of health and safety problems which are likely to occur because of the effects of the sun. Employees and volunteers may on occasion be required to work in an area exposed to the sun, particularly when conducting or setting up events. The objective of this Policy is to assist the Union to meet it’s obligations under WHS legislation, and ensure that employees are kept safe from any risks to their health and safety that are associated with the sun.
