The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) has up to 100,000 paid temporary jobs available at the next federal election, which will be held sometime between now and May 2025.
If you haven’t worked at an election before, no problem – we’ll pay you to get trained and provide on-the-job support.
Most jobs are on polling day, but some roles are for several weeks before or after, making it a great opportunity to earn extra money.
If you’re a night owl, there will be opportunities on Polling Night and over the weekend, counting votes and helping to ensure a professional election of the highest integrity.
More than 9 in 10 previous temporary staff say they’d recommend the work to others, and they’d do it again – so why not join them?
First Nations people, people living with disability and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
How to apply:
Find out more and register online. Although offers will not be formally made until after an election is called, register now so we can try to match you with a suitable job beforehand. https://www.aec.gov.au/employment/working-at-elections/index.htm In the “How did you hear about us?” section, please write YouX Jobs Board
