If you have an Academic Grievance you can speak to an Education and Welfare Officer (EWO) for confidential, independent, expert advice regarding your options and what may be expected of you when navigating the University’s Student Grievance Resolution Process (SGRP).
An Academic Grievance may include issues such as an assessment grievance, an application for a re-mark, or it may be regarding an Academic Integrity issue.
An EWO can offer you independent support and advice regarding communications with the University, responding to formal notifications, and when preparing requests for a Formal Review and/or Appeal of a decision. Note: EWOs are not decision-makers in the process, but guide students to consider their options.
You may want to familiarise yourself with the University’s SGRP here: https://www.adelaide.edu.au/student/grievance/grievance-types/academic-decisions .
Please pay close attention to the timeframes involved when reviewing or appealing decisions.
You are welcome to book an appointment with an EWO to discuss this process as needed.
