What inspired you to engage with the office and role(s) you currently hold?
My goal is to enhance student engagement and achieve a genuine representation of student needs. Furthermore, I have noticed a significant increase in the number of international students from Vietnam, and I'm eager to be their advocate. I want to amplify their voices and ensure their needs are heard and addressed effectively.
What do you hope to achieve in your office and role(s) in 2022-23?
As an international student, I aspire to offer assistance to fellow students, providing academic support and mental health resources, as I empathise with the challenges they face. Additionally, I'm committed to boosting the visibility of club events and activities while streamlining the funding application process.
What is your number one tip for a new student?
Don't overlook the chance to enjoy complimentary food and beverages on campus; it's a great way to save on lunch expenses. Furthermore, a great way to have connections and friends is by joining different clubs that align with your degree and cultural interests. Finally, do not wait until the near deadline to start your assignment or you will suffer.
What is something—big or small—that you are really good at?
I find it very easy to fall asleep, and I can sleep anywhere.
What one thing do you wish you had known when you started Uni?
On your first day of uni, arrive at least 15 minutes early to avoid getting lost and ending up late for class.
What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?
I enjoy spending time with friends and going on road trips to experience Adelaide's sightseeing.
