The Clubs grants program aims to promote a dynamic, collaborative and inclusive student experience.
It does this by encouraging clubs to engage with each other, YouX, and the student community in the creation of unique, innovative experiences and opportunities.
As an organisation run by students, for students, our main goal at YouX is to encourage an exciting, unique campus culture. We believe that clubs and societies, our Clubs community, are one of the most important parts of any student’s time here. That’s why we run a grants program for clubs — so we can work with student groups to create experiences people will remember for the rest of their lives.
What is a Grant?
Aside from fundraising, Clubs can apply for allotted sums of money, or Grants, which can benefit their activities. They can be used for a range of purposes, from purchasing Club equipment, to running both small and larger scale events.

Grant FAQ's
How much in advance do I have to apply for a grant?
There is no 'too much time' when it comes to applying for grants, so the sooner the better. The more you keep us in the loop, the more we can help you plan. However, the rule of thumb is at least 10 working days prior to the event or purchase for smaller grants ($1,100 or less.)
We need at the absolute least a month for any larger grants (major or campus impact.) Bear in mind the fact that the Clubs Committee who are required to approve these grants may meet irregularly, and you may need to do a lot of work on your application with the Clubs/Events Team. Our suggestion is to apply at least 3 months in advance, at least for your initial proposal.
